Our thoughts set the pace of our day. Our thoughts determine what we seek and what we draw to ourselves. Philippians 4:8 invites us to think on these things – “Whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things.” That is why some people just won’t come to your mind today.
Sometimes the most difficult thing to do in a difficult situation is to ask for and accept help. When we already feel out of control of what we are dealing with giving up more control is counter intuitive. Check yourself perhaps you need to Let someone help you today or help someone today even if they don’t make it easy.
We can spend a lot of time in sorrow in our lives over what we fear. Our fears can disturb our peace and limit our possibilities. Even if you cannot conquer your fear in one act name what your life looks like absent that fear. Speak into your consciousness life without that particular fear, as you imagine being free of it you have begun to defeat it.
Envy, fear, guilt, jealousy, resentment and shame are heavy emotions to carry. Take the limits off of your forgiveness; meaning your forgiving of others and yourself and release toxic emotions that weigh you down. You were born to fly and sometimes hurtful events in our lives interrupt our flight. Take back your wings and let forgiveness elevate you.
You have to admit there is a problem in order to begin the process of repair. Denial can delay your healing and deliverance. So take a deep breath, pray, open your eyes and face the problem. It really is an opportunity waiting to be addressed.
It is much easier to be critical than to be correct; to be condemning than empowering. Resist the easy path of being judgmental and live with the measure of grace for others that you receive daily from God.
God has a way of giving us what we need in very unexpected ways. So don’t look for your blessing to come from familiar sources. Be open to a new path of provision.
God is the creator and source of all that is true love. True love is unconditional, unmerited, and unlimited. We can’t buy it, earn it, demand it. It is a pure gift, freely given, and freely received. True love considers the best interests of the other and does what is loving. When we say, “I love you” do we mean it?
Do not ignore your anger. Anger can be a sign to let us know that something in our life needs changing and anger can be part of the energy needed to make a change.
