Often we do not need to respond to those who seek to diminish our light and belittle our work. Let your actions speak for you. Let your witness, truth and integrity be the clarion testimony about what God is doing for and through you.

Don’t neglect to pray for others especially those who have hurt you. Be intentional about forgiving them and asking God to bless them. Releasing righteous anger and resentment is imperative for your own healing. Lighten the load on your mind and heart by forgiving and releasing anger and disappointment.

We know that if we keep doing the same that gives us unwanted results we are likely to keep getting the same undesirable outcome. But change can be frightening and breaking habits difficult. So be gentle with yourself and strategic with your changes. Small sustained steps are better than no progress at all.

Sometimes one day at a time is more than we can handle. We do well to make a commitment to do what is healthy, wise and life giving for one hour at a time. Resisting the temptation of destructive behavior is often a moment by moment decision. Give yourself time to succeed by making good choices one at a time and give yourself spiritual strength by celebrating every little right step along the way.

Cultivate your thoughts towards what you desire for your life. Think about what you want to accomplish. See it complete in your mind. Release any thoughts of failure or insufficiency. Your thoughts are a critical part of your success. So think your way towards what you desire.

In the middle of a storm it is difficult to keep a positive attitude. Know that “weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes with the morning.” So hold on just a little longer.

Sometimes a nonjudgmental ear, a confidential shoulder and undivided attention is the greatest thing you can do for someone. The gift of empathetic listening is precious. Sometimes you just want someone to listen, don’t try to fix the situation just listen prayerfully.

When your actions do not match your words and your heart you make your life burdensome and tedious. Your lies limit your destiny and breed within you insecurity, fear and withdrawal from God. The truth sets you free to walk in the light. Lies set you up to stumble in the dark.

Throughout your day identify things you are grateful for and whisper aloud a word of thanksgiving to God. All day and anything you choose. It could be a flower, a smile, a cup of coffee, laughter, a friend whatever and whenever all day express your gratitude.

When you have clarity and humility about your truth. You can hear the truth of other people that is even contrary to your own without judgment or arrogance. It may not change what you think about your truth but it will change how you feel about the other person. This allows us to genuinely agree to disagree without being disagreeable.
