Do the best you can knowing that you will not be perfect. Be slow to judge others, quick to listen and even quicker to forgive.

Unsolicited advice runs the risk of being harshly rejected no matter how good it is. Sometimes you have to wait until asked to help before you offer help.

Patience does not mean procrastination or laziness. Patience requires being in touch with your soul so you act with Divine wisdom as oppose to acting out of fear, anger or greed. To be patient is to be in touch with your soul strength and that’s why you don’t mind waiting when necessary.

What are you hoping for today? Give intention and direction to your faith. Don’t let the day go by without taking a moment to set a few positive goals for yourself. We can achieve the great big things we desire a few goals at a time. So what are your goals for today?

For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

When adversity strikes you, find out who is really in your corner. Acquaintances are fine but when the rubber meets the road friends rise up to ride with you. Not in judgement or condemnation but with understanding and a praying spirit.

One of the most precious gifts we can give is what we teach someone. Parents often give this gift to children but there is no limit to the number of times when can give this gift nor any special relationship required. Teach someone to embrace diversity, to love, everyone to forgive quickly, to cherish life, to say thank you, to acknowledge Spirit, etc. Teach someone something positive everyday. It really does make the world a better place.

Love yourself enough to boldly be who you are without worrying about what others think. To quote James Baldwin, “Love takes off masks that we fear we cannot live without and know we cannot live within.”

Prayerful discern the season of your life. Are you in a time of giving, receiving, renewal or release? Is it a season of silence or sharing of observing or demanding? You have been blessed for such a time as this. So be still and pray to know your season and govern yourself accordingly.

Our words can encourage a person or crush them. There is no limit or cost to taking a moment to speak a word of support and affirmation. You can not go broke speaking kind words. So invest in kindness today and encourage someone with words of praise and support.
